Since 1985, the coveted trophies have been awarded by LEADING SWISS AGENCIES, the Association of Leading Communication and Media Agencies in Switzerland.
The jury members are asked to evaluate the overall effectiveness of a case based on defined criteria and to provide separate assessments for the analysis of specific characteristics in the following areas:
CHALLENGE, CONTEXT & OBJECTIVES: 23.3%
INSIGHTS & STRATEGY: 23.3%
BRINGING THE STRATEGY & IDEA TO LIFE: 23.3%
RESULTS: 30%
The jury members' evaluations determine which entries make it to the finals and which finalists receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Effie Award. At each level—gold, silver, bronze, finalist—a minimum score is required to qualify for advancement. A category may produce multiple winners at each level—or no winners at all.
The jury chairmen, together with the jury president, lead the first round of judging.
The round 1 jury will select the finalists.
The jury round 2 will decide on the winning cases.
The Grand Effie jury wants to select a Grand Effie case from the gold winners and will be published shortly.
