Since 1985, the coveted trophies have been awarded by LEADING SWISS AGENCIES, the association of leading communication and media agencies in Switzerland.
The Effie Awards are known worldwide by advertisers and agencies as the industry's leading award and recognize all forms of marketing that contribute to a brand's success. Today, Effie is celebrating effectiveness globally with over 55 programs in 125 markets, including Global Effies, regional programs in Asia-Pacific, Africa/Middle East, Europe and Latin America, and national Effie programs. The Effie Awards were created in 1968 by the New York American Marketing Association as an awards program to honor the most effective promotional efforts. The awards recognize all forms of effective marketing and the companies and people who create effective work worldwide.
Effie has a special position among industry awards and focuses on what really counts: the effectiveness of communication and its value contribution to the company's success. Effie is also the industry's place to exchange ideas on the latest topics with experts from clients and agencies, from market research, science and media.
It is proud who usually has one of the Effies standing in gold, silver or bronze. Not only because it looks good, but because it is an award that is only given when it is worth the work. This means that we do not have to award gold, silver and bronze in every category. No work is convincing, there is no Effie. All gold winners of a year will then compete against each other again for the Grand Effie: The outstanding best case of the year — which requires a unanimous vote!
For each award-winning case, the main submitter receives two trophies. These will be presented as part of the Effie Awards to the representatives named/present by the submitter and are not associated with any additional costs for the submitter. Unreceived trophies will be sent free of charge once. Additional trophies can be ordered from LEADING SWISS AGENCIES for a fee up to two weeks after the award ceremony (delivery time up to eight weeks after ordering). The cost per additional trophy is 305.00 CHF plus VAT and shipping.
For each award-winning case (shortlist & final), submitters receive two unframed certificates. The certificates will be sent out after the award ceremony. Additional certificates can be ordered from LEADING SWISS AGENCIES for a fee up to two weeks after the award ceremony (delivery time up to two weeks). The costs per additional document are 57.00 CHF plus VAT and shipping.
Print certainly has its place. For example, to give our winners the opportunity to list on two pages all the details and contributors who went down on the award show. It also leaves an even better impression in black and white - for posterity or for one of the nostalgic moments in our lives. Definitely a must. For our winners too.
